Postnatal Services

The postnatal services available are diverse and can be adapted to suit a wide range of needs and requirements.

This is in no way an exhaustive list but the postnatal services available include:

Companionship and the space to talk through any concerns
Supporting you with feeding (breast or bottle) and general baby care
Meal preparation (including vegetarian, vegan, wholefood and other speciality diets)
Light housework, for example:

laundry
grocery shopping
washing up
general tidying

Caring for your baby to give you a break
Caring for older children

Postnatal services are booked by the hour and can range from as little as three
hours to as many as four days per week. Often postnatal services are booked for
the first 4-6 weeks after the baby's birth, but this is in no way fixed and contracts
can run for as briefly as one week or as long a six months or more and can start
from birth or later. There is a minimum booking of three hours per visit.

I am also qualified in Indian Head Massage and Reiki and can offer treatments to
clients as part of the postnatal service if desired.

On a personal note, for the last ten years I have practised a natural lifestyle that is as low-impact as possible. I eat a vegetarian and organic diet and live in a chemical-free home using only natural products for cleaning and personal hygeine. I in no way force any of these practices on to my clients but I am always happy to introduce them should they be of interest.

Please note that a postnatal doula is a professional in birth and postnatal support, not a cleaner or domestic aid so some household chores such as ironing and bathroom cleaning are not included in the postnatal service.
