Charges

Doula Services

If you think you may want to book me either as a birth or a postnatal doula, or even as both, then I am more than happy to come to your home for an initial visit free of charge. This will give you a chance to ask me any questions, to find out more about the way I work and how I might be able to help you and for you to get a feeling for whether I am the right doula for you.

Antenatal

The fee for antenatal services is usually £55 per visit, which would normally last at least 2 hours, plus expenses (travel etc). A block booking of three visits is available at a discounted rate of £150.

Birth (not currently available)

For the full birth doula service there is normally a fee of £450, plus expenses (travel etc). A deposit will be required at the point of booking with the balance payable in two stages, one at the commencement of the on call period and one after the birth.

Postnatal (not currently available)

Postnatal services are currently charged for at an hourly rate of £10, plus expenses (travel etc). A deposit will be required at the time of booking by which point we will have agreed the hours that you will expect me to work.

I use contracts for both my birth and postnatal doula services, copies of which will be given to you at the initial meeting. A contract can also be made available to you for antenatal only bookings should you require one, though I do not use these as a matter of course.

I believe it is important that all women should have access to a doula should they want one, so I will take on some clients on low incomes with no charge, making use of the Doula UK Hardship Fund to cover my expenses.

Natal Hypnotherapy

The Natal Hpnotherapy course is normally charged at £280 per couple for both group and one-to-one classes. This includes all course materials and a comprehensive course manual for you to keep.

Payment for Natal Hypnotherapy courses is taken through the central Natal Hypnotherapy website or by phone to their office (01428 712 615).
