Supported Birth - Birth&Postnatal Doula Services and Natal Hypnotherapy in the West Midlands

Birth Services

Please note that due to me having had a baby in October 2007 the full range of birth services is not currently available and only antenatal services, postnatal debrief visits and one-to-one Natal Hypnotherapy courses are currently available. Natal Hypnotherapy group courses and the full birth doula service will be available from June 2008 depending on childcare availability.

Once booked, the full birth service includes:

Being on call for you for four weeks, two before and two after your due date, with a guarantee that I will not travel more than one hour away from you without prior arrangement with you.
Two or three visits prior to the birth of at least two hours each.
Unlimited telephone and email contact.
Being present throughout labour and birth from the time you decide you need me until after the baby is born.
One or two visits after the birth for debriefing and ongoing support with breastfeeding or any other area you would like help with. ( A total of four visits is included in the standard package although it is always possible to arrange more.)
A written account of your birth story.

I also have a collection of pregnancy, birth and natural health books that are available to my clients for borrowing, a variety of homeopathic and herbal remedies that may be useful, and skills in massage and Reiki for those that wish to use them.

I work within the West Midlands, although on occasion I have been known to travel further afield. Please do get in touch if you'd specifically like to work with me but are not based in the West Midlands, as it may still be possible. Doula UK has a list of doulas throughout the country which may be of use to those based elsewhere.

I am able to arrange for shared care and back-up to cover any rare scenarios when I might not be available with other local doulas. This would always be arranged in advance with your full agreement.
